We’re based in Amsterdam and our original format was a competition to become as Dutch as possible. We very much had in our sights expat workers of international companies, but the Dutchies also loved the event as they got to see their colleagues engaging with their local culture.

Group Dynamics Of Our Formats
The linked descriptions above give you a sense of what the each format feels like. However, we know that when you’re booking a new company to deliver a fun experience you have no idea if it’s any good. So, here’s an explanation of the group dynamics in our events, and why they work. While there are variations in content between formats, and occasionally some small structural differences (eg, two group activities verus three) the dynamics hold steady.
Our events feature a nice blend of allowing people to be themselves, to be part of the overall group, and to have activities where they are part of a small team (this is during the group activities in breakout rooms).
Every format features an interactive quiz as this is the simplest and most effective activity for connecting people.
The content of quiz questions range from inspirational to comedic, but the content is secondary to the fact that the host then calls on one or two people to justify their answers, and what ensues is usually comedy gold and laughs all around.
There is always at least one game where participants compete in small teams. The bulk of the gameplay is completed in a breakout room, and this simply gives participants an opportunity to connect with a small group of colleagues on a deeper level.
There is always a second small group activity in a breakout room, and it’s usually a conversation centered around a fond memory or association related to the theme.
This connects people on a human level, and later in group mode we discuss one or two of them.
Each format is framed as a format to prove yourself the most Dutch, the best at science, the most tech literate, etc.
The tone is always comedic, and participants know it’s just a bit of fun.
However, framing it as a competition gives it a sense of tense all the way through. We finish with a very simple finale, which is usually one final quiz question for the winners of the various rounds.
